The Strathroy District Arts Council was established in 2000 by a group of individuals interested in promoting and fostering the Arts to enhance the quality of life and add to the community of Strathroy-Caradoc.  We are committed to fostering an environment in which all levels of the Arts can flourish by raising awareness and encouraging the active pursuit of artistic excellence.

We are an incorporated, not-for-profit charitable umbrella organization that represents a variety of levels, involvement and disciplines within the Arts. 

Our volunteer Board of Directors is elected by our voting membership and represents its diversity.  Committee members are recruited from among our membership to carry on a variety of projects.

• Ongoing arts, culture and heritage advocacy in our community, including promoting awareness of the Cultural Master Plan for Strathroy-Caradoc
• Participation in the “Progress Through Partnership” initiative, linking the Strathroy and District Chamber of Commerce, Strathroy-Caradoc Communities in Bloom, Strathroy Downtown Business Improvement Area and the Township of Strathroy-Caradoc to enhance the lifestyle of our community
• Participation in the Cultural Master Plan Community Implementation Committee
• Monthly Board of Directors meetings
• Annual General Meeting in October
